OUR SURGICAL LOCATIONS

If your child needs surgery, the procedure will be done by one of the best-trained pediatric urologists in the United States, not a trainee. Your child’s anesthesia will be provided by fully-credentialed anesthesiologists who practice anesthesia daily and who are extremely skilled at regional anesthetic techniques for post-operative pain control in children. If your child is hospitalized after surgery, he or she will be admitted to a private room on a dedicated pediatric ward staffed by a stable group of very experienced nurses who have worked extensively with Dr. Schaeffer. We are committed to patient privacy, and we invite you to review our privacy policies outlined in this website. We welcome feedback about the care we provide.

Emergency Care

We can be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week via our phone system. If we have never seen you as a patient, please do not call us after hours, unless your primary care doctor or an emergency room has already formally referred you to us.

Make An Appointment

To schedule an appointment, please click on the icon “Contact US” on our home page to learn how to reach us. We prefer that all appointments be scheduled by phone. If a doctor’s office will be scheduling the appointment, please have the patient also contact us prior to the visit so that there is no misunderstanding as to what the patient will need to bring to the visit. Please review what we expect patients to bring to their scheduled appointments, particularly medical records pertaining to the reason for the visit, as well as any pertinent imaging that has been previously performed.

If you are unable to keep your child’s clinic appointment, please inform us so that we may give another child the opportunity to be seen. If you do not show up for a scheduled clinic appointment and call later asking to be rescheduled, you will be asked to wait until the next available appointment.
